Local Partnership Grants
The Commission has introduced local partnership grants in order to focus particularly on new and emerging communities. This will enable the Commission to work in partnership with local government councils to address the needs of newly-arrived and emerging communities.
Under this program, the Commission may enter into an agreement with the council where the Commission pays for the salary of a community worker to work with identified communities in an identified local government area, with local councils providing office space and related administrative support.
Typical grants would be $20,000 for a part-time or $60,000 for a full-time worker and agreements would be for a maximum period of up to three years.
Local councils may write to the Commission to seek local partnership grants by providing the following information by the specified closing date:
- Name of Council
- Details of the contact person (name, position, email and telephone)
- Title of the project
- Purpose of the project
- Outcomes to be achieved
- Project plan (methodology, timetable, resources)
- Budget (including funding received from other sources for the project)
- Amount of funding requested from the CRC
